Privacy notice for this website

This page covers the two forms on this website, the "Be first to know" list and the contact form, and what happens when someone writes a good word for a SacraDuo member through a private vouch link. It covers nothing else. When the SacraDuo app launches, it will have its own privacy policy. We wrote this in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

From the interest list: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your first name, city, and state or region. We also record that you confirmed you are 18 or older, the date you gave consent, and which version of this notice you saw. From the contact form: your email address, your message, and your name if you give it. From either form we note your country, taken from the network connection that submits it (we don't ask for it, and we don't look up anything more precise).

Why we collect it

Three reasons only: to email you occasional updates about SacraDuo, to help us decide where to launch first, and to answer you when you write to us. That's it. We won't use any of it for anything else without asking you.

Where it lives

On our own server, run by MottaCare Holdings LLC. We do not sell your information and we do not rent it, and we do not give it to advertising networks or data brokers. The only other companies that touch it are the ones that help us run the site and deliver our email, and only to do that job for us.

SacraDuo is being set up as its own company under MottaCare Holdings LLC. When that is done, this list moves to it, and the same promises on this page follow it. Nothing about how we treat your information changes, and you can still ask us to delete it at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep the interest list until SacraDuo opens and you either join or unsubscribe. We keep messages from the contact form only as long as we need them, and you can ask us to delete either one at any time.

How it's protected

Cloudflare fronts this website and shields the server. When we turn on its bot check for a form, that check is there to keep the list to real people. Only we can read the list.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe, or ask us to delete everything we hold about you, at any time. Just send us a message. We'll confirm when it's done.

If someone asks you to vouch for them

A member of the SacraDuo app can send someone who knows them a private link and ask them to write a short good word for their profile. If you write one, we keep your first name, how you know them, and what you wrote, only with your agreement. A reviewer reads it first, and it appears only if the member chooses to show it.

After you send it, we give you a private link to see or remove what you wrote at any time. Removing it deletes your words, your name, and how you know them for good. The member can also remove it, and everything is deleted if they close their account. If you lose your link, you can ask the member to remove the vouch, or write to us and we will help.

If someone shares a meetup plan with you

A member of the SacraDuo app can name a few people as safety contacts, and tell one of them where they are going. If they do, we hold the name and phone number the member gave us, and we make a private link that shows who they are meeting, where, and when, in their own words. That page is built from what the member typed, not from their phone. If the member takes a second, separate step and turns on location sharing for that meetup, the link can also show roughly which block their phone last reported from, and how long ago that was. They choose it each time, it is off unless they turn it on, and it stops when the meetup ends.

The member sends the link themselves, from their own phone. We do not message you, and nothing alerts you automatically. The link stops working a few hours after the plan ends, and then we delete the plan. If you are not their safety contact, the page has a button that takes your number off their list, or you can write to us and we will take care of it.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies or scripts to track you across sites, profile you, or advertise to you. We do not build analytics or tracking into this site, and we add no third-party analytics scripts to it. If you create an account here, we set a cookie that keeps you signed in: that is the cookie doing its job, not tracking. Cloudflare sits in front of this site and protects it, and that protection can set a cookie of its own for that purpose alone. When we turn on Cloudflare's bot check for a form, that check loads a script from Cloudflare and can set a cookie too. If we ever add anything beyond what is needed to run the site and keep it safe, we will say so here first, and ask your permission where the law requires it.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal, and there is no agreed standard for what a website should do with it. We do not track you across sites either way, so there is nothing here for that signal to switch off, and we do not behave differently when we receive one.

If this notice changes

When we change this notice, we publish the new text here with a new version number and a new effective date. If a change would mean using what we already hold about you in a new way, we will ask you first. Your signup records which version you saw, so you can always ask us for the text you agreed to.

Which language governs

This notice is published in English and in Spanish. If the two versions ever differ, the English version is the one that governs.
